Americans for Prosperity-Virginia Applauds Passing of Energy Bills
Richmond, VA – Today, Americans for Prosperity – Virginia (AFP-VA) celebrates the passage of SB1338 and HB1779.
AFP-VA State Director Tim Parrish released the following statement:
“We are thrilled that SB1338 and HB1779 passed both chambers unanimously. This reform is a win for Virginians that will bring fusion energy sources into the market, and we thank each lawmaker who made this possible.
“Reforming VCEA was a top priority for AFP-VA this session. Virginia is an international leader of operational data centers and emerging digital storage technologies, and this legislation will ensure that our power infrastructure is prepared to handle growing energy demands across the Commonwealth.
“Virginians are paying attention to what’s going on in these committees. While we celebrate this win for the energy grid, we are not done yet, as it will take time for this technology to enter the market and lower Virginia’s energy bills. We look forward to making even more exciting progress to power our growing economy.”
