AFP-VA Slams Gov. Spanberger’s State of the Union Response
RICHMOND, VA – Americans for Prosperity Virginia (AFP-VA) slammed Gov. Spanberger’s Democratic Response following President Trump’s State of the Union, calling out the Governor for not practicing what she preaches.
Tim Parrish, AFP-VA Director, released the following statement:
“The vision Governor Spanberger laid out for Americans tonight of a stronger democracy and an affordable America is something she is actually working against in Richmond. Governor Spanberger should be working with President Trump in a bipartisan effort to make Virginia a better place for working families. Instead, Governor Spanberger is taxing Virginians to the hilt- on anything from leaf blowers to dog walkers, while taking even more out of your paycheck. This approach is driving away businesses and innovation in droves from the Commonwealth. I urge the Governor to change course for the sake of the Old Dominion, and put people, not partisan politics, first.”
