AFP-VA Mourns the Passing of Del. Barry Knight
RICHMOND, VA- Americans for Prosperity Virginia (AFP-VA) mourns the passing of Delegate Barry Knight, a dedicated public servant whose steadfast legacy will forever endure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
AFP-VA Director Tim Parrish released the following statement:
“We at AFP-VA join countless Virginians in honoring a man who served the people of Virginia’s 98th District and embodied the finest traditions of principled leadership. A reliably conservative voice in the Virginia House of Delegates, Delegate Knight consistently voted in defense of limited government, individual liberties, fiscal responsibility, free enterprise, and the core values that have long defined our Commonwealth. His legislative record stands as a testament to his deep conviction and refusal to waver in the face of shifting political winds.
“Beyond the halls of Richmond, Barry was the quintessential Virginia Gentleman and a devout Christian whose faith guided his every action, infusing his work with humility, grace, and moral clarity. The void left by Delegate Knight’s departure is immeasurable. Virginia has lost one of its truest champions, and countless families have lost a friend who genuinely cared. Though our grief is deep, we take solace in knowing that his legacy of integrity, service, and faith will continue to inspire generations of liberty-minded Virginias for years to come.”
